Moving from the East coast to the West is a big change and bringing a Boston accent adds to the charm of the diversity of Los Angeles, a city that opens it's arms to people from all over the world. Here my passions of exploring and taking photos and love of film and the arts become my adventures to share with others.

I  grew up with LA meaning"HOLLYWOOD", the home of FILM & TV, palm trees, and beaches, and after moving here, realized it is all of that and more!

Living in a place with so many people ready and willing to work on their next project - even when they are ON a project- film, tv, online, and on stage has it's advantages. It seems EVERYONE has a pitch, a desire to "make it" or make something- and the courage to move here or STAY here in spite of the odds. You have to be "hungry' quoting one of my favs in the field- and yes, some tend to be more hungry than just for food. Give them the chance to act, crew, direct, star for the moment, model, write, perform on stage or carry the coffees - they are ready, willing, and want to try.

Award shows and auditions, pitches at dinner meetings, planning at any social meeting is par of the course. Writing at coffee shops, or sitting and looking pretty - hoping to be 'noticed', - every corner can be a chance to meet that "someone" who offers you the chance. The money to make your show, get your film going, or a part or connection for a job to show your stuff.

For me, I see films and go to Q&A's, a Premiere or a screening at a theatre or film festival and look for any opportunity to listen and learn to the filmmakers in conversations or 'on set"locations. I've been taking film classes at  UCLA Film/TV School to learn more formally.

Traveling helps to broaden one's perspective and gives us the break from the fast pace which is healthy too.

I write MyReelWorld to share all of these experiences with all of you!
